NK Slaven Belupo lost to Rijeka 0:2 on Saturday in Koprivnica. The match started promisingly for Slaven Belupo, but Toni Fruk scored in the 5th minute for Rijeka. Fruk scored again in the 14th minute and Rijeka held the lead until the end of the match. Slaven Belupo was unable to get back into the game and ultimately lost 0:2. Rijeka thus broke a streak of three consecutive losses and returned to third place in HNL. Slaven Belupo remained in sixth place with 36 points. In the next round, Slaven Belupo will play against Vukovar 1991, while Rijeka will play against Istra 1961. Andrija Jakir, Slaven Belupo's goalkeeper, was unable to prevent Fruk's goals. Fruk was the best player of the match and deserved the praise of Rijeka's fans. But Slaven Belupo will have to improve if it wants to place higher in the standings.
