NK Slaven Belupo signs Ivan Ćubelić, a young midfielder who previously played for Hajduk. Ćubelić signed a contract with Slaven Belupo after spending three years with Hajduk. He was a member of all younger age groups of the Croatian national team up to the U-19 level. In the 2020/21 season, he first started playing at the senior level, playing for Hajduk's second team in the second tier of Croatian football. He made his debut for Hajduk's first team in August 2021, playing one minute in a 1-0 win against Hrvatski dragovoljac. And now he will play for Slaven Belupo. Ćubelić's transfer was agreed for zero euros and a currently unknown percentage of the next sale. The transfer announcement is expected today. Ćubelić was on the list of 60 greatest world talents according to the prestigious magazine The Guardian. He was a member of the academy of Split's Adriatic, from where he moved to Hajduk's academy in 2013. But his potential at Hajduk was not fulfilled.
